A Hossegor surf school that stays open all year and every day, 8am to 8pm — worth knowing on a coast where a lot of schools shut from October to Easter. Group and private lessons run for every level, with separate sessions for children from twelve and a programme for older beginners, plus intensive day courses and camps in the school holidays.
Because Hossegor's headline waves are too heavy to learn on, lessons move to whichever nearby beach suits the day's swell — Capbreton and Seignosse are both minutes away. Boards and wetsuits are hired out separately. They also run swimming and aqua-gym sessions, and take company groups.
This is one of the few providers on this coast that takes bookings on WhatsApp, which is the quickest way to ask what the conditions are doing before you commit to a slot.
