Chateau Saint-Jean is the town's main reason to detour. Its rectangular keep dates from the early 11th century and still dominates the ridge above the Huisne valley.
The museum inside covers the history of the Perche, with local history, castle material, and changing exhibitions. Even if you do not go inside, the walls and views explain why this was a serious border fortress.
