Cap d'Antibes

Rocky coastal headland with a spectacular shoreline walk

The headland between Antibes and Juan-les-Pins is one of the better walking spots on the Cote d'Azur. The Sentier du Littoral (also called Sentier de Tire-Poil) runs along the rocky western shore for about five kilometres, with views back across the Baie des Anges to Nice and the Alps behind it. The path is mostly flat and accessible; stretches close in rough weather.

The interior of the cap is private villa territory and largely inaccessible, but the coastal path is public and well-maintained. At the southern tip, the Chapelle de la Garoupe offers panoramic views from its hilltop terrace. Allow about two hours for the full walk at a relaxed pace.
