Ceret's Saturday market is one of the best reasons to time your visit. Stalls fill the old streets with fruit, olives, cheese, charcuterie, bread, flowers, and the easy noise of a town that still shops in public.
Come early if you want to buy seriously, later if you want atmosphere. In cherry season the local fruit is the obvious prize, but the market is enjoyable even if all you leave with is lunch.
