Château de Villerouge-Termenès is a compact stone castle in a small village south of Talairan. Its strongest story is not military scale but Cathar history: Guillaume Bélibaste, often described as the last known Cathar perfect, was burned here in 1321.
The castle makes sense as part of a wider Corbières drive rather than a stand-alone expedition. Pair it with garrigue roads, wine villages, and a stop in Lagrasse.
