Le Relais de Bracieux

The historic village restaurant once led by Michelin-starred Bernard Robin

Address 1 Avenue de Chambord

The Relais de Bracieux was the village's gastronomic anchor for forty years, run by the chef Bernard Robin who held two Michelin stars from the 1980s into the early 2000s. Robin retired and the property has changed hands; under successive new owners, the kitchen has been more or less consistent in its Sologne cooking — game, freshwater fish, mushroom dishes, and the asparagus that grows just outside the village.

The dining room is wooden-panelled and unpretentious; the wine list is strong on Loire whites and reds. Open lunches and evenings; reservations essential at weekends. Check current operator and Michelin status before travelling specifically.
