Wartberg is the hill to aim for when you want Heilbronn to make visual sense. From the vineyards and viewpoint above town, the city becomes a Neckar wine place rather than just a rebuilt commercial centre.
You can treat it as a short outing from the centre, or fold it into a longer wine walk. It is especially good near the end of the day, when the light catches the river and the slopes around it.
