Olaf Gulbransson Museum

Graphic art museum dedicated to Norwegian caricaturist Olaf Gulbransson, with changing exhibitions near the lake.

The Olaf Gulbransson Museum is devoted to the Norwegian illustrator and caricaturist who lived above Tegernsee from the late 1920s until his death in 1958. Gulbransson was best known for his work with the Munich satirical magazine Simplicissimus, and the museum shows his sharp line work alongside temporary exhibitions of graphic art.

The building sits in the Kurgarten, close enough to the lakefront to pair with a walk or boat trip. It is the cultural stop to choose if you want Tegernsee's artistic side rather than another church interior.
