Wikipedia Monument

The Wikipedia Monument stands in Słubice, just across the Oder from Frankfurt an der Oder. Unveiled in 2014, the two-metre sculpture shows four figures holding up the Wikipedia globe and was created to honour volunteer contributors.

It is a small, quirky stop rather than a major sight, but it fits well into the cross-border walk from Frankfurt over the bridge into Poland. The appeal is the oddity and symbolism, not grandeur.
