Kirche St. Nikolai is the main historic church in Luebbenau, the Spreewald gateway town where many visitors begin canal trips. Its tower and old-town setting make it a useful orientation point before heading toward the harbor, market square, or the waterways leading to Lehde.
The church is not the Spreewald's headline attraction, but it adds architectural and local-history depth to a visit otherwise focused on punts, cucumbers, and waterways. Stop in or circle past it while walking through Luebbenau before or after a canal excursion.
