Lübben to Lübbenau Walk

Flat 13 km riverside trail through alder forest and meadows

The 13 km trail along the Hauptspree between the two main Spreewald towns is flat, well-signed, and lets you see the forest properly rather than just glimpsing it from a boat. The path passes through quiet stretches of alder and oak, crosses small bridges, and cuts through meadows that flood in spring. Allow three to four hours on foot, or half that by bike.

Start from Lübben's harbour area and follow the yellow Wanderweg markers south. The tourist office in Lübben sells a good topographic map of the entire Spreewald trail network if you want to explore further.
