Kastell Würzberg is a quiet Roman frontier site southeast of Michelstadt. The fort itself is mostly readable as earthworks, but the small bathhouse has been partly reconstructed enough to make the plan clear.
It is not for everyone, but Roman-border enthusiasts will enjoy the setting. The site belongs to the old Neckar-Odenwald Limes, the early imperial frontier before Rome pushed its line farther east.
