The Stadtmuseum is a modest local museum on the market square, useful if the abbey has made you curious about the town behind it. Its collections cover Bad Gandersheim's civic history, old documents, and local objects rather than blockbuster art.
The best extra is physical: from the upper level you get a good look back across the compact old centre.
