Aeronauticum is outside central Cuxhaven, near the Nordholz naval air base, but it is a strong stop for anyone interested in aircraft or naval history. The museum combines indoor displays with a large outdoor collection of planes.
It is easiest by car and works especially well for families or technically minded travellers. Pair it with Cuxhaven only if you have time beyond the harbour and Wadden Sea.
