The Heidegarten is a compact introduction to the Lüneburg Heath's signature plant. Hundreds of heather varieties are planted in a circular garden near the Höpen, so you can see the colours and textures up close before heading out onto the open heath.
It is not a substitute for a real walk, but it is useful if you are short on time or visiting outside the main bloom.
