The Höpen is Schneverdingen's classic heath walk. Low hills rise just outside town, opening views across heather and juniper toward Wilseder Berg, the highest point of the heath.
Come in August or early September if you want the postcard purple bloom. Outside that window, the appeal is quieter: sandy paths, big skies, and a landscape that feels unusually open for northern Germany.
