St. Nicholas' Cathedral

Late-Gothic brick church with some of the Altmark's finest medieval stained glass.

St. Nicholas' Cathedral is a sober brick Gothic church at the southern edge of the old town. The reason to go inside is the glass: the late-medieval stained-glass windows are unusually rich for this part of Germany and give the plain brick interior a sudden lift of colour.
