The Sonneberg Play Mile is a toy-themed town trail that starts near the station and leads through central Sonneberg by way of playful markers, sculptures and stops connected to the old toy trade. It is deliberately light-hearted, which suits the town better than a solemn heritage route would.
Use it as a way to orient yourself before or after the German Toy Museum. Children get something to spot between museum and cafe; adults get a quick sense of how deeply the toy identity is woven into Sonneberg's public face.
