Our Lady Serbian Orthodox Church

Gothic Serbian Orthodox church with medieval frescoes and a later Baroque bell tower.

Our Lady Serbian Orthodox Church is Ráckeve's most distinctive building. The church was built in 1487 and is one of the rare Gothic Serbian Orthodox churches still standing in Hungary. Inside are medieval frescoes, while the Baroque bell tower beside it rests on a 16th-century base.

It is the sight that gives Ráckeve more than small-town charm. Check opening hours before making a special trip, as access is more limited outside the warmer months.
