The Szolnok Art Colony was founded in 1902 and became one of Hungary's long-running artist communities. Painters came here for the light, the river, and the plain, and the colony still keeps studios and exhibition spaces near the Tisza.
It is a quieter stop than a big museum, but it explains an important part of Szolnok's identity. Check current exhibitions before going, then combine it with the nearby riverfront and bridge.
