The Malom-tó is the picturesque heart of Tapolca — a small, crystal-clear pond fed by karst springs, with the old water-driven flour mill standing on its bank. The pond reflects the pastel façades of the surrounding houses and is ringed by a paved walkway, benches, and several cafés with terraces overlooking the water.
The setting is more attractive than its size suggests. A leisurely loop around the pond takes only ten minutes; combine it with coffee and ice cream on a summer evening, when the mill is floodlit and the church behind reflects in the water.
