Museum of Hungarian Petroleum and Gas Industry

Outdoor industrial museum beside the folk village, with drilling equipment and oil-field machinery.

This museum shares the edge-of-town museum area with the Göcsej Village Museum, but the mood is completely different. Instead of cottages and farm tools, you get derricks, pumps, pipes, engines, and the machinery of Hungary's petroleum industry.

It is a niche stop, but a good one if you like industrial history. Zala County's oil and gas work shaped the modern economy here, and the open-air exhibits make that easier to grasp than a conventional museum room would.
