Belleek Woods spreads along the River Moy just outside Ballina, with easy trails through one of Ireland's larger urban woodlands. It is not wild country, but it is a good place to walk off a wet lunch, look for river views, and get a softer side of town than the traffic around the bridges.
The marked Belleek Woods Loop is short and straightforward, so it works well as a morning or late-afternoon walk.
