Lemanaghan

Early monastic ruins and quiet walking country at the northern end of the Offaly Way.

Lemanaghan is a quiet early monastic site east of Banagher, with ruined stonework, old paths, and the feeling of a place that has slipped out of the main tourist circuit. It also marks the northern end of the Offaly Way.

Come for a short wander and a little solitude. It pairs well with other Shannon and Offaly heritage stops rather than standing alone.
