A small but unexpectedly worthwhile sculpture garden — the Leighlinbridge Sculpture Garden, also called the Garden of the Bones — runs along the east bank of the Barrow opposite the castle. Pieces by Irish sculptors in stone, bronze, and steel are arranged through the lawns and trees, with new works added over the years.
The garden was the result of a local initiative to celebrate Carlow's stone-working tradition. It is freely accessible at any time and makes a natural extension to a walk over the bridge and around the castle.
