The Dock occupies Carrick-on-Shannon's old courthouse, a good stone building on St George's Terrace. Inside are gallery spaces, a small theatre, studios, and a changing programme of exhibitions and performances.
It is the town's best wet-weather stop and adds a cultural note to a place that otherwise revolves around boats, pubs, and the road west.
