Cork Opera House

A 1965 concert hall on the north channel of the Lee, rebuilt to a Michael Scott modernist design after the original 1855 building burned down. The programme runs from opera and ballet to comedy, drama, and gigs. The building is functional rather than beautiful, but the bar terrace on the upper floor has a useful view of the river and the Shandon hills.
