The town's main contemporary art gallery and home of the Niland Collection, a holding of 19th and 20th century Irish painting strong on the work of Jack B. Yeats — the poet's brother and one of the country's most important painters. The 19th-century model school building was renovated in the 2000s to add a cinema, performance space, and large temporary exhibition halls.
