Arabata is the oldest and most atmospheric part of Pietrapertosa. Its name points back to the village's Arab and Saracen period, and the quarter still feels defensive: narrow lanes, stone walls, and houses tucked tightly below the castle.
There is no single sight to tick off here. Wander slowly, look up often, and let the rock overhangs and alley turns do the work.
