Giardini Ravino

Botanical garden of 1,500 cacti and succulents — a good stop after Citara beach

Giardini Ravino is a private botanical garden on the road between Forio and Panza, specialising in cacti, succulents, and desert plants from around the world. The collection runs to over 1,500 species, with specimens that have been growing here for decades — some of the giant cacti are old enough to be serious plants rather than curiosities. The contrast with the lush Mediterranean landscape around them is striking.

The garden is open daily from April to October, with guided tours available. It is significantly less visited than La Mortella, which makes it a pleasant stop if you want to spend time in a garden without the crowds. The location on the road from Citara beach makes it an easy add-on to a beach day. There is a small shop selling plants and local products, and occasional evening events in summer.
