Parish Church of San Giorgio

Eighteenth-century church with a polygonal plan and interior frescoes

San Giorgio is the centrepiece of the village, built in the 18th century on an unusual polygonal plan that distinguishes it from the typical Ligurian parish church. The projecting facade catches the morning sun, and the interior preserves period decorations and frescoes painted by regional artists.

The church is open for services and on summer afternoons. It sits in the small piazza that functions as Bormida's social centre — pause at the cafe across the way for a coffee before moving on.
