Parish Church of San Nicolò

The parish church of San Nicolò dates from 1570 and stands at the heart of the village. It replaced an earlier place of worship and was rebuilt in the straightforward Counter-Reformation style common to rural Ligurian towns of the period. The interior is modest but well-maintained.

The church is the social and religious centre of Mallare. Its square doubles as the village gathering point, and the feast of San Nicolò in December brings the community together each year.
