The Marina di Varazze is one of the larger yacht harbours on the western Ligurian Riviera, with berths for about 300 boats and a full range of facilities for visiting sailors. The marina sits just east of the main beach and is surrounded by cafes and seafood restaurants catering to the sailing crowd.
For non-sailors, the marina is a pleasant place to walk in the evening — the promenade along the waterfront gives views along the coast in both directions, and the boats moored in the basin range from small local fishing craft to substantial private yachts making their way along the coast between Genoa and the French Riviera. Day boat trips and sailing lessons are available from operators in the marina.
