The ruins of Zuccarello's castle sit on the hill directly above the village, offering sweeping views down into the Neva valley. The Marchesato di Zuccarello controlled this stretch of the Ligurian interior for centuries, and the castle's remaining walls and towers hint at its former importance.
It's a short, steep walk up from the village. The reward is the panorama — terracotta rooftops below, forested ridges in every direction, and on clear days a glimpse of the coast. Worth the climb, especially in the golden light of late afternoon.
