WiMu, the Wine Museum in Barolo, takes over the upper floors of Falletti Castle. It is more theatrical than technical, using rooms, sound and installations to talk about wine, ritual, landscape and status.
That style will not suit everyone, but it works well in Barolo, where the wine can otherwise disappear into tasting notes. Pair it with the enoteca downstairs and the vineyards outside town and you get the full circuit: story, glass, hillside.
