Marina di Bibbona

Marina di Bibbona is the coastal resort below the hill village, a long stretch of fine sand backed by a dense pine forest that has been protected from development. The beach is quieter and less built-up than the resorts to the north and south — fewer large hotels, more family-run stabilimenti with sun loungers and beach bars. The water is clean and the sand firm.

The pine forest (pineta) behind the beach is good for cycling and walking; a path runs parallel to the shore for several kilometres. In the evening the restaurants in the marina serve the local catch. The combination of a proper beach and the medieval village a few kilometres up the hill makes Bibbona a better base than most of its neighbours on the Etruscan Coast.
