The Museo della Pietra Serena is Firenzuola's most useful cultural stop, set in restored spaces around the old fortress. It explains the quarrying and carving of the grey sandstone that has shaped both local buildings and grander architecture farther south.
The museum is small, but it gives the town a clear identity. After visiting, you start noticing the same stone in thresholds, portals, and ordinary walls around Firenzuola.
