Badia di Moscheta is an old abbey complex in the wooded country outside Firenzuola. It is one of the better places to feel the Alto Mugello away from roads and town squares: stone buildings, forest, and trailheads all meet here.
The abbey is also a practical walking base. Use it for a short rural stop or as the start of a longer hike through the Giogo-Casaglia landscape. Check access before going, as opening patterns can be local and seasonal.
