The Multicultural Centre occupies the former winter synagogue on Old Market Square, next to the larger synagogue building. Together they are among the most important surviving signs of the Jewish community that lived in Kėdainiai before the Holocaust.
The exhibition is small but necessary. It turns the old town from a pretty streetscape into a place with missing people, lost trades, and a more complicated memory.
