The highest point on Malta, some 250 metres above the open sea. The cliff edge stretches for more than two kilometres, and a coastal path runs along most of it. At sunset the light turns the limestone orange and the views extend to the island of Filfla offshore. The chapel of St Mary Magdalene — its current structure dating from 1646, built on the site of an older one — stands right at the edge and is a favourite landmark for photographers.
