Skibladner is the old white paddle steamer of Lake Mjøsa, launched in the 19th century and still working as a summer passenger boat. When it calls at Gjøvik, the lakefront suddenly feels less like an ordinary town quay and more like part of an old inland route between market towns.
The boat is seasonal, so check the timetable before building a day around it. Even if you do not sail, the pier is a pleasant place to start a lakeside walk.
