Lågdalsmuseet is Kongsberg's open-air cultural history museum, set around old Glitre farm close to the centre. The collection includes historic houses and farm buildings from Kongsberg, Sandsvaer, and Numedal.
It is a good counterweight to the mining story. The silver mines explain why Kongsberg became important; Lågdalsmuseet shows the domestic and rural world that surrounded the mining town.
