A network of marked cycling trails connects Mikołajki to the surrounding lakes and villages, passing through the Pisz Forest and along quiet lake-shore tracks. The most popular loop runs south along Lake Mikołajskie, then west through forest to the edge of Lake Śniardwy, Poland's largest lake, before looping back — about 40 kilometres of flat terrain through mixed pine and birch forest.
Bicycle hire is widely available in Mikołajki from late April to late September. Electric bikes are available from some operators, making longer routes more accessible. The trails are well-signposted and mostly unpaved forest tracks, with good surfaces throughout except in early spring when snowmelt makes some sections muddy. A dedicated cycle path also runs toward the Łuknajno reserve.
