Old Market Square

Compact old-town square framed by pastel burgher houses and the city hall.

Zielona Góra's old market square is the easiest place to get your bearings. The square is ringed by painted townhouses, cafes, and side streets that show the city's Silesian past without turning the centre into a stage set.

It is a pleasant, low-pressure place rather than a showpiece. Use it as the base for a short walk to the cathedral, the Lubusz Land Museum, and the vineyard hill above the centre.
