Miradouro dos Socalcos looks over the terraced landscape around Sistelo, one of the most distinctive corners of the Arcos de Valdevez municipality. The view is all stone walls, green steps, mountain folds, and small-scale farming shaped by generations of work.
It is best treated as part of a slow drive or walk through the Peneda-Gerês edge rather than a single photo stop. Go when the light is soft if you can; the terraces read much better when shadows give them depth.
