Nossa Senhora da Penha is a small chapel on the ridge southwest of town, reached by a short drive or a stiff walk. The chapel itself is simple; the reason to go is the view back over Castelo de Vide and across the Serra de Sao Mamede.
It is best in clear weather, especially late in the day. Bring water if you are walking up, because the climb feels longer than it looks from the town centre.
