Dmitrov Museum

Local history museum covering Dmitrov, wartime memory, and the Moscow Canal.

Dmitrov Museum is the main local history museum, with displays on the town's past, the wars that touched the region, and the construction of the Moscow Canal. Despite its kremlin branding, it sits just outside the old enclosure.

It is not the reason to travel here by itself, but it is a useful stop if you want the town's layers explained before walking the centre.
