The Transfiguration Cathedral stands beside the leaning tower, giving Nevyansk's old centre its best view across the pond. The present classical building dates from the 19th century and is one of the town's strongest surviving religious landmarks.
It is worth seeing together with the tower rather than as a separate expedition. The contrast between white church architecture and the Demidov industrial tower says a lot about how power looked in the old Urals.
