The Konniy Dvor (Horse Yard) is an 18th-century stable and service complex that once belonged to the Trinity Lavra, now converted into a museum and exhibition space for applied arts and handicrafts associated with Sergiev Posad and the surrounding region. The main collection focuses on traditional Russian decorative arts — carved wood, embroidered textiles, painted lacquerware — with a particular emphasis on the toy-making traditions of the town.
The building itself is an interesting example of 18th-century monastery service architecture, with a long arcaded facade and a courtyard. It stands just outside the Lavra walls to the north. The museum is smaller and less visited than the main Lavra complex but gives a good sense of the secular crafts that developed around the monastery over the centuries.
