Central Slovakia Museum is based in a renovated Renaissance house in Banská Bystrica, with exhibitions that spread into other historic buildings around the city. The setting is part of the attraction: it puts regional history inside the architecture of the old town.
It is a good second museum stop after the Museum of the Slovak National Uprising, especially if you want the broader local story rather than only the wartime chapter.
